By Yvonne Brixey
A breast augmentation is one plastic surgery that many women think about getting. If you are embarrassed of the size or shape of your breasts, a breast augmentation would be something to consider having done. Before you decide to have this surgery done, think about the pros and cons of a breast augmentation. Write down all of the negative and positive things you can think of about the procedure before you come to a conclusion.
There are some great benefits that come with a breast augmentation.
When women get a breast augmentation done, it is mostly for appearance. So the main benefits would be that your breasts will look better. Not only can a breast augmentation make your breasts look bigger but it can make them more perky or a better shape.
Some women have a problem with their breasts looking hallow and a breast augmentation will fill them out and make the breast implants look natural. If you want more cleavage from your breast area, your surgeon can simply lift up the breasts during your breast augmentation procedure. Some women have uneven breasts which can be fixed by putting an implant in one breast. If you want your body to look more proportionate then a breast augmentation is the answer.
There are even more benefits that come from a breast augmentation.
Not only does a breast augmentation improve the appearance of women but the way they feel about themselves. After having the plastic surgery, many women are more confident and more successful in social and work environments. After a breast augmentation women also look younger.
After having a breast augmentation surgery, many women have more options when buying clothing. After women get their breast augmentation done, they can wear certain fashions that made them feel uncomfortable before their breast augmentation. After a breast reduction or breast reconstruction, women tend to feel better in their clothes.
Although there are many benefits, there are also risks that come with a breast augmentation.
Some women think that a breast augmentation procedure is not a big deal, but it is surgery. There are some risks that come with a breast augmentation. Be aware that after your breast augmentation, you will have scars. They will be in a place that is hidden in a swimsuit and the color will fade over time.
A breast augmentation surgery also comes with the risk of bleeding or infection. There is also the risk of capsular contracture which can make the implant more round and hard, which is not the goal of a breast augmentation. This can be painful for the patient. Also there is a risk of fluid accumulating around the breast implant after a breast augmentation.
The last risk of a breast augmentation is the result not being what the patients want. Sometimes a breast augmentation can cause the breasts to be uneven. Often times women want natural looking breasts but the results of the breast augmentation is fake looking breasts. This is why women should be careful when selecting a plastic surgeon to do their breast augmentation. Make sure that they have done many successful breast augmentation surgeries and you can trust them. The Benefits and Risks of a Breast Augmentation

Breast Implants In Indianapolis Indiana Are Available In A High Profile And Saline Filled
By Isabelle P Sabbatini
Breast implants in Indianapolis, Indiana have many features that a woman must consider before undergoing a cosmetic procedure. The fill used in the implant, the size and the shape are selections about which women should ask questions. There is also a decision about profiles you and your doctor will discuss during the initial visit.
The shell insert can be filled with silicone gel or saline for different results. Many women might remember the hype about silicone filled shells during the eighty's. Research has settled fears, and the doctors know how best to use silicone or saline fills for their clients. The physician can discuss the pros and cons of different fills and help you make the best decision.
The size of an augmentation is a choice that begins with you, the patient. However, the physician will perform an examination and consider the size of your frame. Most size increases are possible for healthy women.
The contour of your chest can be determined by the shape of the silicone shell. The silicone shells can be designed in a round shape or in a tear-drop look. The tear-drop shape was designed to look more like the natural shape of a woman. The overfilled round implants have been popularized in the movies and television.
The profile is best explained by the protrusion that appears from the base of the chest to the tip of the breasts. There are high, medium and low profiles that can make the implants appear larger depending on the insert and its positioning. For instance, a high profile can give the appearance of a larger breast size because of the apparent lift that is caused when the implant sits higher on the chest.
In conclusion, breast implants in Indianapolis, Indiana offer much more than most people consider. The results of the silicone fills have been tested, and their results are more clearly known by physicians today. The shapes used have also improved to include a natural look. Profiles are a discussion for you and the doctor, but it is good to know that the placement of a high or low implant can make a difference in your appearance.

A Overview Of The Breast Augmentation Procedure In Oregon Now
By Michael Jenkinston
By far, the most popular type of plastic surgery is breast enhancement. There are many board certified surgeons who can perform your breast augmentation procedure in Oregon. Set up an initial consultation to discuss the options. Your doctor will explain the procedure thoroughly, including all of the positives and negatives, so you have a realistic view of what to expect before, during and after surgery.
There are three main types of breast implants that are used today. Historically, some very odd products were used to enlarge breasts. In the late 1800s, glass balls, ivory and ox cartilage were used. Medicine has made some very significant advances since then.
Saline products have a filling of sterile saline solution that is injection quality. It is considered the safest of all types of implants. The outer shell is much more realistic than ever before. Newer surgery options make them more realistic, too.
While they suffered from bad media attention in the 1990s, silicone gel implants have now been reintroduced to the market as a safer product. The shell material has been improved tremendously, so they are much more durable. They are the most-requested products on the market and provide a natural look and feel.
Cohesive gel implants are new and have the nickname Gummy Bear implants because they resemble the candy of that name. They are a more solid product than the other options and there is no fear of leakage because they remain intact. They are also less likely to encapsulate. Encapsulation is when the scar tissue forms around an implant and pushes it into an odd shape. Because of their texture, these are less likely to cause excessive scarring.
Whatever options you choose, talk to a plastic surgeon for more information. It is easy to find doctors who perform the breast augmentation procedure in Oregon. Look online, in the phone book or talk to your family physician. Initial consultations are often free of charge.

Looking Into The Best Breast Surgeries Available To You
By Louis Macheng
It is very important for women to feel beautiful. One area that can cause women to feel less than perfect is their chest. If you are someone who just isn't happy, here are some of the best breast surgeries out there.
The first option available is to have a lift procedure done. This is also referred to as a mastopexy. Women who experienced a pregnancy or have lost a substantial amount of weight are wonderful candidates for this procedure. When a person undergoes this operation, the excess skin around the bust area is removed. Then the tissue that is left is rearranged and sutured together to reshape the breast.
If you are woman who suffers from especially small, sagging or uneven breasts, you may opt for an augmentation. This procedure uses silicone implants that are placed with the bosom. The implants are filled with a sterile saline solution. This solution is considered safe by medical standards since the body is able to simply absorb it if a leak were to occur. The implants are found to come in 3 shapes; round, teardrop or anatomic allowing for a fuller look.
Extremely large breasts can cause severe back, shoulder and neck pain. Women who suffer on a daily basis with this condition may want to investigate a reduction mammoplasty. This procedure removes any excess skin, fat and tissue. A lift is usually also completed during this operation in order to ensure the breasts are suitably arranged on the body.
Finally, reconstruction of the breasts may also be an option you will want to consider. One main reason for the reconstruction would be asymmetry between the breasts. Many women find that their busts vary in size and shape from each other. Another reason for reconstruction would be a tubular deformity. This is when the areola is much larger compared to the size of the breast. Any of these issues can be corrected by undergoing one of the above mentioned procedures. However, the tubular deformity is a much more difficult surgery and may require a follow-up operation.
Women who aren't happy with their bodies don't have to settle any longer. Options for enhancing one's beauty are plentiful. Any of the procedures listed about can be researched further and found to be the best breast surgeries. It is time to give your self esteem a boost.

When am I Eligible for Breast Conservation Therapy?
By Claire Curtis
Breast Conservation Therapy (BTC) is a breast cancer surgery in Dallas option that seeks to eradicate the cancer without affecting the breast. BTC is highly sought by both patient and doctor as the first option because it is effective, having been used successful for over 40 years. Unfortunately, not everyone qualifies. There are certain considerations that have to be answered since over and above this treatment is concern for life.
Patient Eligibility
Back in 1990, a panel formed by the National Cancer Institute recommended using breast conservation therapy for women having stage 1 or stage 2 breast cancers, yet it is still not a widely utilized procedure. Nationally, only one-third of patients are choosing breast conservation therapy as an option, and the numbers are much lower regionally. Some of the important aspects to be discussed prior to the procedure are the expected cosmetic results, the side effects from radiation (both short and long-term), and the impending need for follow-up examinations and testing. Breast conservation therapy patient selection takes the pathological characteristics of the tumor and the ability to achieve clear margins into account.
What You Can Expect Your Breast To Look Like After BCT
Breast cancer surgeons in Dallas have a grading system for patients who have undergone breast conservation therapy. If the patient's breasts hardly looks like it had gone under the knife and there are very subtle changes, then the patient is classified under the first grade. On the other hand, a patient under the classification of grades 2 to 4 might show graduated changes, depending on the grade, Some thickening of the skin, scarring, and even open sores can be expected. The good news however is that breast conservation patients often end up with just a grade 1 or grade 2 category.
Small studies have been done that indicate the success of breast conversation therapy on large breasted women. Although the tumor to breast size is favorable, they do see a higher occurrence of size discrepancy and fibrosis. A review panel of over 300 women shows the side effects to be worse for large breasted women with 20% seeing a superficial skin breakout. Despite these results, breast conservation therapy is still highly recommended as the preferred treatment for patients with larger breasts.
As for implants after surgery to augment the breast, doctors will not recommend this if BCT has been done. The most serious problem that could arise is movement of the implant over time which can cause intense pain and chronic fixation. The chances of this happening in BCT patients is as high as 40%.
Summary
Breast conservation therapy has been around for a while but a lot of women are still not familiar with it. What is needed is an effective information awareness campaign to enlighten breast cancer patients about an alternative to a mastectomy. Women need not lose their breasts unnecessarily. With breast conservation therapy, there is now an effective alternative.

What You Can Expect To Happen With Multiple Breast Tumors
By Megan Hunt
A tumor in the breast is a sign of a medical problem. The seriousness has to be determined through diagnostic tests. Not all tumors are life-threatening. Also the tests will determine if there is just one tumor or multiple breast tumors. Even with multiple breast tumors, the prognosis can still be positive if the growths are non-cancerous.
Breast tumors can come in many shapes and sizes and be a soft or hard bulge, swelling, bump or nodule. A lump in the breast may be referred to as a contour or shape breast abnormality, and can occur in any age group, population or sex, yet is of course more prevalent in women.
Sometimes, a lump develops from a wound that has become infected. It could be from a milk duct that has been blocked. Other causes for breast lumps are cysts, a harmless benign tumor, or breast cancer. It can happen to both men and women, although more often with women.
Usually, there are other symptoms like swelling, discharge, fever, pain, redness, or an inverted nipple. However, even without symptoms, breast lumps cannot be ruled out as something unimportant. It would be better to have it checked.
Diagnosing multiple breast tumors and the cause of them involves many differing factors, including examining an entire family and personal medical history, including any history of cancer, and undergoing a complete physical examination, as well as a breast exam.
Ultrasounds and mammograms are just some procedures that you will have to undergo at a doctor's clinic. The ultrasound will help determine if there is any fluid in the cyst. Then, it is up to the doctor to recommend whether or not there is a need to drain this fluid. If the ultrasound shows a solid mass in the breast, more tests will be needed to determine if the mass is cancerous.
A biopsy could also be done, which would involve your breast cancer surgeon in Dallas collecting a small sample of the tumors to examine them under magnification, testing for any cancer cells.
If the lump or lumps are discovered as being cancerous, more testing will be performed. Other tests may include an MRI or PET, which would help show whether the cancer is spreading to other body locations, like the lymph nodes. If metastasis of the lymphatic system has occurred, or is suspected, a biopsy on the lymph node will normally be performed.
Multiple breast tumor treatments will depend on the result of all these diagnostics. The more invasive and widespread the cancer is, the more radical the treatment will have to be. However, it is also possible for the treatment to be non-invasive with little or no tissue being affected. A cyst will only need an aspiration to drain the fluid. Multiple breast tumors found to be cancerous will need radiation, stronger drugs, chemotherapy, and breast cancer surgery in Dallas.
